Jordle

A Wordle clone for learning Japanese Kana -- Hiragana & Katakana

Jordle screenshot

A gamified approach to learning Japanese Furigana. Jordle takes the familiar Wordle mechanic -- guess the word, get color-coded feedback -- and applies it to Hiragana and Katakana character recognition.

Each round presents a set of Kana characters and the player types the matching romaji (romanized Japanese) to identify them. Green means correct, yellow means close, gray means wrong -- just like the original, but instead of English vocabulary you're drilling Japanese phonetic alphabets.

Built as a way to make daily Kana practice actually fun instead of grinding flashcards. Supports both Hiragana and Katakana modes, tracks your streak, and runs entirely in the browser with no backend required.
